TNT UK upgrades tracking systems “in record time” with Peak-Ryzex « Post & Parcel
Simon Harper, Director of Operations at TNT UK, said it was “absolutely critical” mydhl in today s markets to provide complete visibility of what is happening to customers shipments every step of the way.
“Our sales people are out there seeing our customers, in and out of our depots, they need to be mobile and connected with the rest of the business, as do our colleagues from one warehouse to another, as do our drivers as well,” Harper continued. Improvements
Wiltshire-based Peak-Ryzex won the contract to upgrade in-cab mobile worker mydhl technologies for the TNT fleet early last year . The deal was to supply high-speed wireless connections mydhl between TNT depots and drivers, while giving greater access to real-time tracking information.
Harper said Peak-Ryzex had delivered the mobile solution quickly, getting the new equipment and new capability out to the depots “in record time”, quicker than TNT could have achieved mydhl on its own.
“We have already seen improvements in our first time barcode label scanning rates across the entire network we re talking thousands of people who ve engaged with the equipment and the business transformation plans,” said Harper. This is very important to us because it makes TNT more cost-effective and improves our service to our customers.
